Italian designer Umberto Felci, drawed at the beginning of the Millennium the new range of boats for Dufour (34, 40 and 44 footers), then part of the Cantieri del Pardo Group. Those boats had a clear commercial success, it was thus natural for Dufour to come back to him for a new range of boats, even when the collaboration with Cantieri del Pardo had come to an end. The new boats had to keep into account the economical profile of their competitors. The Grand'Large range simplified many building details of the Performance line, without compromise on the quality of the vaccum bagged technique, achieving a more competitive prices. All in all the cruising qualities of the new rane were enhanced. The D385 for example, being in the middle between the small boats and the bis ones, offers a perfect balance, with a comfortable deck and a roomy interior, and enormous stowage, particularly in this two cabins version. Its big water and fuel capacity is unusual in this range of dimensions. Its two wheels make easy the passage aft to the bathing platform and are easy to manage while sailing. Felci does not appreciate beamy boats and gave the 385 a personal touch of elegance and Dufour family feeling. The offered unit is in very good shape. Her second owner treated her as the first one and added a more modern electronics. He is moreover offering the boat with good stuff for cruisisng: new bimini and spray-hood, ample spare parts, two folding bicycles and a tender with out-board. The hull was recently antifouled and there are customized bed sheets and sleeping bags. A vessel ready for immediate cruising.
