The Grand Soleil 52 was the third and last design from Germán Frers for Cantieri del Pardo. It proposed the elegant lines of a style that was then about to be abandoned in favour of more squared off and angled lines. In the 52, however, the cabin lines come out straight from the cockpit coamings and are harmonically diluted on the teak foredeck. This was a styling introduced in CdP by the French Naval Architect Alain Jézéquel who designed the previous full range of boats of the Yard. The 52's hull water lines are inspired by the contemporary racers, but they are not so extreme and allow for very good performances, a fact that Whisper, the offered boat here, has confirmed during her sportive and family life. On the GS 52 there are two cockpits well differently suited. In the fore one, guests can seat around a cleverly folding table, an innovative feature for the time. The aft cockpi is fully dedicated to the vessel handling. Below decks an unexpected and huge aft cabin welcomes the owner. A dedicated head is in the passage forward. The saloon includes different spaces: an ample and comfortable dinette, a second smaller table between two sofas and a big sized chart table, which in the Whisper's case is full of different good quality electronics, all perfectly working. The twin sided huge galley was another innovation for the moment. Two good guest's cabins conform the forward living section, one with a clever two bunks lay-out. The f'c'sle is easily tranformed to a two people possible crew's quarter. The Whisper is in a very fine shape, she has a clever aft platform, integrated to the teak deck, which improves the space on deck and incorporates the hydraulic passarelle. The Whisper is ready to sail away at any moment.
