The Nelson 47 is a vessel whose hull lines were originally conceived for a range of Fishermen that the Yard built in the Seventies. For their age they are ample with a roomy comfortable interior. Their hull lines are fine for blue water cruising and for long stays on board. Each unit built had the same GRP hull, produced from a mould, but their deck shape, buit of plywood and their interior were totally customized to their owners preferences. The “Tripote”, as this unit is called was built as a Stay-sail schooner and she had two Ford engines. The stay-sail schooner rig is so called because it has not a boom on the foremast, but a stay. This a very useful rig as every sail is of a manageable size and at the same timethey offer a fine power lay-out. The Tripote will be found in very good conditions, as her owner has cared of her a lot. She has modern electronics, recent sails, rebuilt engines and many other extras for sail and comfort. She is a cruiser vessel ready to go anywhere.
