The Comet 52RS opened the Comar’s Deck House range with modern fast cruising design. They are very interesting boats, with a modern style not linked to temporary fashion. This unit won the 2007 Boat of the Year Award, thanks to her excellent performances, her internal high level craftmanship and also to the customized internal style, built to the customer’s tastes with amazing versatility by the Yard. In fact although she keeps the Yard's standard lay-out below decks, she has been built with a completely different style based on the collaboration betweenthe owner and the Yard's drawing board. Thus this unit shows innovative ideas for her age as the dinette sofas separated by sidetables with elegant lamps whose lampshades follow the colour of the upholstery; a dining table that disappear like a painting leaving instead a small tea-table or washbasin with a (then) pioneering design. Built on a yard outside Milan, this boat together with a second unit were the only Comet 52 to be built there and perhaps those of higher general quality of the full range. Due to health problems and to his business needs, the owner was not able to sail her as he hoped, thus he put her for sale. Today, she is in good shape and only needs some improvements and to service the teak deck. Her owner replaced all the batteries in summer 2021, cleaned the diesel tank and ordered toher minor works needed due to her long stay unused. She has many extras and the engine has very low hours of use.
