The Aresa Yard (Astilleros Reunidos S.A. means Reunited Yards Ltd.) was established in 1966 from the merging of two Yards: Astilleros Gallart and Astilleros Ibiza. It was firstly based in Mataró a small town close to Barcelona and later was transferred to Arenys de Mar, a small village with harbour, farther to the East where it is still in activity. Its production has been always based on different ranges of boats: Revenue cutters, Fishing vessels and a Yachts range that benefits from the experience of the professional ranges. During a short while, between 1968 and 1972 Aresa worked together with Baglietto, the famous Italian Yard. This collaboration marked the styling of the following yachts built by Aresa. During that period, a subsidiary Company, called Tecnaresa, was established especially to focuse on design and production of the ranges of boats. The Aresa 16 was introduced with that particular Italian design, typical from the Seventies and was a best seller, remaining in production for many years. A boat of this model was famous during the Transition period in Spain, when the then Prime Minister Adolfo Suárez was pictured on board the “Miss Aresa”, during his summer holidays in 1977, immediately after the first democratic elections. This offered unit is in very good shape, very well kept. The interior offers three ample cabins in which all the Seventies style taste has been maintained. A quite Futuristic style, sadly about to be rejected during the Eighties and Nineties return to the Classicism. This boat has every modern comfort system and all the safety elements are up-dated. Her engines are the original ones, thus conserving her authenticity. They are in excellent working conditions.
