The Fiskars Finnsailer 35 is a quintessentially Finnish motor-sailer, a very classic design built by Oy Fiskars AB, the yacht division of the famous tool manufacturer Fiskars, from 1969 onwards, with production continuing into the 1980s. Designed for the demanding conditions of the North Sea and the Baltic and inspired by the local coastguard’s rescue boats, it is a heavy, robust vessel that combines excellent motor-sailing capability with remarkable sailing performance. Its ability to withstand bad weather and cope with calm seas, whilst remaining fun and dignified under sail, combined with its high-quality construction, ensured its commercial success. The hull is made of solid fibreglass and complies with Lloyd’s standards, featuring a long keel that provides excellent course-keeping and stability, a rudder mounted on a skeg for added protection, and a traditional profile: flared bow, cruiser stern. The interior is spacious and practical for its era, with good headroom of over 1.90 m, a spacious galley and an enclosed bathroom, featuring teak fittings and storage space for extended voyages. Given its characteristics, she is a boat designed for long stays on board, and her large, well-protected cockpit offers a spectacular, convivial atmosphere. The boat for sale is in impeccable condition, with a new engine, a new electrical system (with some components duplicated), new batteries, and a repainted and clean interior.
